Department of Modern Foreign Languages & Literatures

Research Seminar on
Modern Germany and Central Europe

This seminar is a venue for humanities faculty in the UT community with research interests in Germany and Central Europe to meet and discuss these interests with each other and with scholars from other universities. Since 2006, the group has organized book discussions, works-in-progress presentations, public lectures by invited speakers, and conferences (including, in 2012 and 2013, the Southeast German Studies Workshop with ca. 40 colleagues from around the region). We encourage scholars and students with interests in German culture, history, or literature to attend our events, or to contact one of the participating faculty to ask for more information.
