Anja Katharina Seiler

Anja Katharina Seiler is a Ph.D. candidate in German and Applied Linguistics. She received her M.A. in German from The University of Tennessee as well as a B.A. in Germanistik and Kunstgeschichte from the KIT (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), Germany. Awarded with a scholarship by the Landesstiftung Baden-Württemberg, she spent the academic year 2010/11 at the University of Mannheim, Germany. Her dissertation analyzes multilingual language biographies in contemporary German literature in the context of German-Balkan encounters. Additional research interests include Transcultural German Studies as well as foreign language pedagogy.
